Project Turf and Supplies Calculator

Planning a lawn, dog run or side yard? Enter the size of each area and the calculator works out which artificial turf rolls to order, where the seams go, and the install supplies you need, all at current prices.

How It Works

  1. Choose your turf. Each turf is priced per square foot and sold in fixed roll widths, cut to the length you need.
  2. Add your areas. Enter the width and length of each area in feet. Add as many areas as your project has, like a front lawn, a back lawn and a side path.
  3. Tell us about pets. Tick “Pets use it” for any area your dog will use. Weed barrier comes off the list for that area and Zeolite infill is recommended for odour control.
  4. Review your rolls and supplies. See the recommended roll sizes for each area with a layout drawing, plus seaming tape, landscape nails, weed barrier and infill sized to your project.
  5. Order or ask for a quote. Add everything to your cart, email the list to yourself, or send it to us and we will confirm sizes and stock.

What the Calculator Accounts For

  • Trimming allowance: 6 in is added to every roll length so there is room to trim the edges.
  • Seams: rolls are laid side by side with the grain running the same way. When the price difference is small, the layout with fewer seams is recommended.
  • Roll cores: the last foot of each roll is not usable, so long areas are planned around it.
  • Infill: amounts come from each turf’s spec, with a range for light and heavy use. You can also choose a 50/50 blend to lower the cost.

Before You Order

Measure each area at its widest and longest points and round up to the nearest half foot. The calculator is a planning guide and does not replace your own measurements. Turf is cut to order and cannot be returned, so check your sizes before you check out.
