DRAINAGE
Cheap turf holds water instead of draining it. In Vancouver, that means a soggy unusable lawn every time it rains. Drainage is engineered in — or it isn't there at all.
UV DEGRADATION
Without proper UV stabilisers woven into the blade, turf fades and breaks down within 2–3 years. The damage is invisible at purchase. You only find out in Year 2.
RECYCLED MATERIALS
Much of the cheap turf flooding the BC market is made from recycled materials. What the product was made from before it became your lawn matters — for safety, for durability, and for your family.
