A seam that lifts is the first thing anyone notices in an artificial lawn, and it is the hardest thing to fix once the turf is down and infilled. Premium Grass Blades Extra Wide Self-Adhesive Seaming Tape is built to make sure that never happens.

At 10 inches wide against the 6 inches of standard seaming tape, this tape gives you a full 5 inches of bonding surface on each side of the seam instead of 3. That is nearly double the contact area holding your turf down, and the difference shows up in the field: more holding power, and real room for error when your cut is not perfectly straight. If you are seaming with an S-curve or a castle cut, techniques that deliberately break up the seam line so it disappears into the turf, a narrow tape leaves you short exactly where the curve swings widest. This one does not.

The construction is a heavy-duty aluminum foil backing with a 1mm butyl rubber adhesive layer. The foil gives the tape its structure and dimensional stability, so it will not stretch, wrinkle, or telegraph through the turf once it is under load. The butyl adhesive stays permanently tacky and bonds on contact, gripping the turf backing without hardening, cracking, or letting go as the seasons cycle. Fully sealed and waterproof, it locks moisture out of the seam and holds its bond through freeze and thaw.

Installation is straightforward: position the tape, peel the release liner, seat both turf edges, and press. There is nothing to mix, no cure time to wait out, and no glue to clean off your hands or your blades. One 33-foot roll covers a full standard seam run.

This is the tape you buy when the seam has to disappear. Foil backing and a full millimetre of butyl cost more than a basic tape, and the width costs more again. Set that against what a lifting seam actually costs you: pulling up settled turf, clearing the infill, and re-cutting edges that were finished months ago. On a curved seam, the wider tape is not an upgrade. It is the thing that makes the method work.
